What We Treat

Chronic Pelvic Pain Conditions

Prostatitis / Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS)
A non-bacterial inflammation of the prostate and pelvic floor that can lead to pain, urinary symptoms, and sexual dysfunction. Often driven by muscle tension, nerve irritation, or stress rather than infection.

Interstitial Cystitis / Painful Bladder Syndrome
A chronic condition causing bladder pain, pressure, and urinary urgency or frequency without infection. Often linked to pelvic floor dysfunction and inflammation.

Endometriosis
A condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pelvic pain, painful periods, and pain with intercourse. Pelvic physical therapy can help reduce pain and improve mobility.

Coccygodynia
Tailbone pain that may worsen with sitting, transitioning from sitting to standing, or bowel movements. Often related to pelvic floor tension or trauma.

Vulvodynia / Vestibulodynia
Chronic vulvar or vaginal pain without visible cause, often triggered by touch, clothing, or intercourse. Treatment focuses on reducing nerve irritation and muscle tension.

Vaginismus
Involuntary tightening of the pelvic floor muscles that makes penetration painful or impossible. Therapy helps retrain the muscles and reduce fear and pain responses.

Pudendal Neuralgia
Irritation or entrapment of the pudendal nerve leading to burning, numbness, or sharp pelvic pain when sitting. Treatment focuses on nerve decompression, posture, and muscle relaxation.

Testicular or Perineal Pain
Persistent pain in the testicles, groin, or perineum often caused by nerve irritation, pelvic floor dysfunction, or unresolved injury.

Anal or Rectal Pain
Pain around the rectum or anus that may be sharp, aching, or constant. Frequently related to pelvic floor muscle tension or nerve sensitivity.

Proctalgia Fugax
Sudden, intense rectal spasms that come and go quickly. Pelvic therapy can help reduce frequency and severity.

Sexual Dysfunction

Pain with Sex or Penetration
Pain during intercourse or internal exams often due to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, hormonal changes, or nerve sensitivity.

Clitoral Pain
Hypersensitivity, burning, or discomfort of the clitoris that may be caused by nerve irritation or pelvic floor tension.

Ejaculatory Pain
Pain occurring at or after ejaculation, often connected to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction or nerve involvement.

Premature Ejaculation
Difficulty delaying ejaculation, which can have both physical and emotional causes. Pelvic therapy can help with muscular control and coordination.

Erectile Dysfunction / Difficulty Maintaining an Erection
May be related to circulation, pelvic muscle imbalance, or nerve dysfunction. Pelvic rehab can improve blood flow and muscle control.

Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD)
Unwanted and uncontrollable genital sensations not related to sexual desire. Often associated with nerve dysfunction or pelvic floor overactivity.

Bladder Dysfunction

Stress or Urge Incontinence
Leakage of urine during activity, coughing, or due to sudden urge. Pelvic floor strengthening and coordination exercises can significantly improve control.

Urinary Frequency or Hesitancy
Difficulty starting urine flow, incomplete emptying, or needing to urinate too often. Often related to muscle imbalance or nerve dysfunction.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Descent of pelvic organs into the vaginal canal causing pressure or bulging. Therapy focuses on lifting support and function.

Bowel Dysfunction

Constipation
Difficulty passing stool due to muscle tension, poor coordination, or straining. Pelvic therapy improves mobility and mechanics.

Dyschezia / Painful Bowel Movements
Pain or difficulty during bowel movements often caused by overactive pelvic floor muscles or nerve irritation.

Anal Burning or Itching
May result from muscle dysfunction, fissures, or nerve irritation. Therapy addresses the underlying tone and coordination issues.

Hemorrhoids or Fissures
Painful swollen veins or tears that can be worsened by straining and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Fecal Incontinence
Unintentional stool leakage due to weak or uncoordinated pelvic floor muscles. Exercises and retraining can restore control.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Weakening or descent of rectal structures contributing to pressure, discomfort, or incomplete emptying.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Care

Lumbar or Pelvic Girdle Pain
Pain in the low back, hips, or pubic bone related to pregnancy changes in posture, hormones, and muscle activation.

Separation of the abdominal muscles during or after pregnancy. Therapy focuses on core restoration and function.

Home Exercise Program
Customized exercises to support strength, mobility, and pelvic floor function through pregnancy and postpartum.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Pelvic heaviness, pressure, or bulging that may occur after childbirth. Therapy helps restore support and stability.
